I should never have bought...DMR Wingbars.

About 2 months ago I purchased a set of these handlebars for my bike from a friend as I had snapped mine. So for a measly £10 I had bought a replacement. One of the reasons I got these is that the colour was quite a match for my bike, and slightly wider than the pair I had before. So it made sense as I was previously going to weld some extensions onto my old pair. I took them home and bolted them into place and instantly they felt wrong. The extra width was much appreciated, but the general shape of the bar, i.e. the rise and back sweep was all wrong. But worst of all was the upsweep. It hurt my wrists and caused major discomfort to my forearms and hands. I checked on the companies website and they claim that they were the same shape as my old pair. But in comparison they were totally different and an awful lot heavier aswell which had obviously increased the overall weight of my bike. Which is the opposite of what I intended to do. So basically I wasted the money, so I shall be saving my pennies to purchase another pair of handlebars such as the NS Bikes Jalapeno Bar or Gusset Open Prisons. I would have never purchased this product had I have known how minging they would have felt and how much worse my bike would have been to ride. I should never have bought DMR Wingbars and I will never consider them again when looking for a new pair of bars for my bike.
